CARIBBEAN CONNECTIONS
AT LIME TREE GALLERY, LONG MELFORD
For the summer, Lime Tree Gallery presents a stunning exhibition of paintings in our Caribbean Connections Exhibition, which starts on Saturday June 28th.
Scottish artists Claire Harrigan RSW and her father James frequently visit the tiny island of Nevis. Their colourful landscapes capture the essence of this exotic island, one of the treasures of the West Indies.
Anne Anderson was born on Trinidad. Anne and her daughter Jackie live in Scotland and frequently return to Trinidad and Tobago. Their powerful figurative paintings evoke the pride, beauty and spirit of the West Indian people. Through his travels, Charles Jamieson MFA PPAI PAI captures the essence of the buildings and landscapes of Tobago.
Mary Batchelor frequently sails to Antigua and the British Virgin Islands and her vibrant paintings capture the seas and sands of these beautiful islands.
We warmly welcome artist Rosey Cameron Smith and Kate Spencer who have lived and worked on St Kitts and Nevis since 1978. Their joyous paintings complete our colourful Caribbean Connections Exhibition.
Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm
Description
Lime Tree Gallery is located in Long Melford, Suffolk.
We specialise in contemporary Fine Art and Glass, and hold regular exhibitions throughout the year, each one accompanied by a fully illustrated web catalogue.
We have a particular love of contemporary Scottish artists, and we will always have a varied selection of their art on show.
Ranging from the traditional to the modern, the figurative to the abstract, each exhibition is complemented by a selection of individual glass pieces, mainly from Britain and the Baltic States.
